one of the most misunderstood legal concepts in Pakistan is that of speedy justice from an essential safeguard for the accused it has become a pretext to deny basic fair trial guarantees in the name of speed. the right of the fair trial is now recognized as a fundamental right in the Pakistani constitution.

The right to a fair trial is now recognized as a fundamental right in Pakistan constitution interpreting the right to a fair trial the supreme court has held that the intention of the legislature was to give it the same meaning as is broadly universally recognized and embedded in jurisprudence in Pakistan.
